Indian Fusion Dance is a style that synthesizes together the elements from different Indian classical dances and folk dances. Leading to intricate and admired art forms in the country.The fusion dance style was created as a form that is adaptable to different types of music, different themes and different moods.
Here,the combination of different dance styles has expressed the emotion of love. Fusion to give a new meaning by creating a new dance style.These pictures are expressing different Indian classical dance form like Bharatanatyam, Odissi and Kathak.
Bharatanatyam is expressing the theme of love and it is devotional.Kathak is anart of storytelling and devotional expression forthe Hindu gods. All together showing an alignment of Odissi, Bharatanatyam and Kathak dance forms.
There are the angles and postures of Bharatanatyam, the grace of Odissi and the footwork of Kathak. All this put together make the dance come alive. Like they say, ‘Where the hands go, the eyes have to follow. When the eye follows, then expression follows.’
Depending on the music and the dancers, fusion can mean creating a new dance style to unique music, or combining two or more established dance aesthetics into a single dance to reflect the expression of different themes and different moods.Shooting theses kind of style gives more scope for an individual to experiment along with spontaneity.
